From an early age, I felt a deep and enduring connection to the natural world - one that revealed itself through the language of plants, seasons, and spirit. What began as an intuitive bond with Mother Earth has evolved into a lifelong path of working with botanical medicines in both practical and ceremonial ways.

For over three decades, I have studied and practiced herbalism through mentorship, apprenticeship, and immersive learning with plant medicine traditions across North and South America. My journey has taken me from California to Canada, and into Mexico, Brazil, and the Amazon, where I deepened my understanding of the sacred relationship between humans and the living intelligence of plants.

​

In 2006, I founded Shakti Blissful Botanicals in Vancouver, a beloved herbal boutique and community space offering botanical creations, infused foods, and seasonal ceremonies. This work became the foundation for what would eventually evolve into Freja’s Magic Potions.

​

Today, I am the herbalist and botanical artisan behind Freja’s Magic Potions, a ceremonial apothecary based on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

​

Through this apothecary, I create small-batch herbal offerings including botanical oils, floral tea blends, elixirs, and body care preparations. Each product is crafted using traditional herbal methods, high-quality plant ingredients, and ceremonial intention - honouring both the wisdom of the plants and the feminine archetypes that inspire each blend.

​

My work lives at the intersection of herbal tradition, ritual practice, and the sacred feminine.

​

Alongside the apothecary, I facilitate seasonal workshops, herbal crafting experiences, and immersive gatherings that support individuals in reconnecting with their intuition, creativity, and relationship with the natural world.

​

I am also devoted to writing as a way of preserving and reawakening the historical relationship between plant medicines and the divine feminine. My work explores how botanical traditions have been carried through myth, ritual, and goddess lineages across cultures, offering a bridge between ancient wisdom and contemporary practice.

This body of work is currently unfolding through my writing, including my online blog and my book -  Plant Spirit Medicines and the Goddess, where I explore these connections in greater depth.

Freja’s Magic Potions is devoted to bringing the beauty, sensuality, and magic of the plant world into everyday ritual, offering products that are not only functional, but deeply experiential.

​

This work is inspired by Freja, the Norse Goddess of magic, beauty, and sovereignty - a reflection of both my ancestral lineage and my devotion to the path of the divine feminine.

At its heart, this is a path of remembrance.
